My love of yoga began as a connection to the physical aspect of the practice and matured into a spiritual journey. Being involved in competitive dance and more athletic styles of fitness, the mindful aspect was quite a challenge, but my true love for yoga blossomed when I began to dive into the spiritual side of yoga. Suffering from anxiety and depression along with losing my mom to cancer, the mindfulness aspect of yoga became the most challenging and most important to my growth.
Feeling a pull to get certified, I took the leap in 2020 and obtained my 200-hour certification. The experience was life changing and opened a deep connection to the practice of yoga, making it a foundation in my every day life. Once I had the opportunity to teach in the community, it became even clearer that this was my passion. I make a point to ensure my classes are inclusive for all, with the goal of creating a safe space that allows each student to show up exactly as they are. After the healing I have received from my personal yoga practice, I am passionate in creating the same opportunity for others. When I am not on my mat, you can find me sewing, making fresh pasta and spending time with my husband Kyle and five dogs.
